Time for a Spring Break - it's garden time again. Stay in one of the dozen great East Anglian Gardens to enjoy in 2019.

Middle of January and the Winter garden comes to life, a little early maybe says Christine but nevertheless she is getting excited and walking around with her note book listing what is to be done before Spring! I thought a few pictures would be appreciated, not taking into account that Christine does not like having her picture taken! Hay Ho never mind in trouble again.

Some lovely people visited already this year, one with a lovely little dog called Daisy who Tegan cannot quite make out! Possible because Daisy is so tiny.

This week we have had visits from America and Australia both of whom are returning guests.

While we look forward to the gardens taking s...

What a year! Our thanks to you all for making it such a good year with lots of friends returning and of course some new friends made, it all goes to make life interesting and worthwhile.

This is simply to wish you all a Happy New Year and a Healthy, enjoyable 2019 from us.

New Years Eve; A late breakfast this morning with a leisurely coffee afterwards with our friends Debs and Paul. This followed by a trip with Tegan and George to Felixstowe beach, followed by local cod and chips.

B & B is closed tonight so it's a leisurely evening with a glass of wine and see the New Year in?

No, I doubt it ! Glass of wine, a slice of Christmas cake from the recipe given by...

What a year, not that we are complaining it has been incredibly busy and very enjoyable with many who now come to us regularly either for a short break or on business in the area (some do both). Christine has completely recovered from the broken ankle ordeal, Tegan and George continue to greet and amuse our friends and guests as always! It is noticeable how outgoing George has become this year, difficult to imagine the George who ran and hid from anyone or anything new to him.

Our Winter Break has been very popular, usually of three or four nights, with Christine's tea and scones by the wood burner in the lounge, a good breakfast and relaxation or maybe a...

We all know about reviews and what they can say to help people make decisions. Sometimes guests will send a card or an email to tell us what they think, I would like to share a couple of these with you,  it sums up Suffolk and what we try to offer.

"We had a wonderful holiday. Suffolk is surprising, charming, interesting and friendly. Above all your warm, kind and generous hospitality has made our stay special. (must mean Christine). The food has been truly delicious and the room very comfortable. We will recommend you to our friends."

Their review and the many others that have been done for us have apparently put us in the Tripadvisor Hall of Fame for rec...

Worry not she will be back! For those that do not know Christine slipped on the bottom stair and twisted her ankle breaking no less than three bones. This was on December 15th, she spent a week in hospital before having an operation to insert screws and plates. She was home for Christmas although we had to cancel our trip away, we were due at her sister Yvonne's for a relaxing break, as she could not travel.

So what of the B & B? Well yours truly has managed so far, even had a professional chef staying who finished his full English and said " Nothing wrong with that I would like the same tomorrow please". This was the morning after the accident and my firs...
